• London Town House & Gardens (c. 1760): HistoricLondon Town — A stunning 18th-century tobacco inspection port and public house on the South River's north bank, now preserved as a museum and public garden. The ferry crossing here connected Annapolis to the Eastern Shore before the Bay Bridge era.
• Rhode River Natural History Area: SmithsonianEnvironmental Research Center — The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center on the Rhode River has been studying Chesapeake Bay ecosystems for over 50 years from its campus near Edgewater.
Transportation
• MD-2 & MD-468 (Central Avenue): Primary road connections north to Annapolis (5 miles) and US-50 toward Washington DC.
• No direct Metro/MARC service: Edgewater is a car-dependent community. The nearest MARC station is at BWI Airport (~25miles).
